Due to the University restructure, the release of 2025/26 units on Brightspace will be delayed this year. We anticipate this date to be early August but will confirm as soon as possible.

As this is later than in previous years, we recommend that any staff who wish to begin preparing their unit content in Brightspace use their sandbox unit and then copy the materials over once the curricular units are released.

• July/August: Learning Technologist drop-ins to support staff with unit design – look out for further details
• Early August (TBC): 2025/26 curricular units available to staff on Brightspace.
• Tue 19 Aug: Online registration opens, new students access Brightspace and their Arrivals Preparation site.
• Mon 15 Sept: Students have access to curricular units. New students have access to their programme area and continuing students are enrolled to their new level based groupings within programme areas.
• Mon 22 Sept: Welcome week.
• Mon 29 Sept: Start of Semester 1 teaching.
