For the start of the last Academic year the Service Desk provided an emergency number for use by Academics in the event of experiencing difficulties in use of the AV equipment.
This was as a result of the AV Refresh which saw a considerable investment and change in equipment types across various locations. For many, it would have been the first time staff would have seen the new equipment, let alone have used it.
Whilst thankfully there were no registered calls during the first couple of weeks, it was decided to provide the same service for the start of term this year.
