Professor Lydia Arnold shared some inspiring insights in her AI Summit Keynote last week.
Professor Arnold took us on a fascinating journey, starting with her research in assessment design and exploring the multifaceted layers of authenticity in assessments. She shared invaluable insights on the importance of developing feedback literacy processes with students, and cautioning us not to lose the creative relationship we have with them. Her talk was a timely reminder of the need to empower our students and nurture them as active citizens. She also highlighted the critical role of AI in education, urging us to better understand how students engage with AI tools and how we, as educators, can guide them responsibly. One of her key messages is to continue to be confident as educators using our subject knowledge, ethical awareness, and global perspective.
