Preparing for Artificial Intelligence in Assessment and Feedback design: Revert, outrun, or embrace  

 

12th June

At this session, we will apply the ABCD method and Blooms taxonomy for the ILOs on your unit to the context of the overall programme.  

 This will then develop into how you can use AI to enhance this process and support session plans, assessment and feedback. The key to this is knowing how to prompt AI to support this. 

Incorporating AI in  Assessment and Feedback: Authentic Assessment  13th June  

1000 to 1200

This session is designed to enable discussion and debate about current landscape in assessment (revert, outrun, or embrace), consider options and ideate in competence based approach as well as concepts authentic assessment in your assessment strategies. This will include how AI can be used to generate via prompts ideas and activities to support authentic assessment.  
Introducing AI to create inclusivity in Assessment design 

 

14th June

The focus of this session is to apply design thinking tools to reimagine formative and summative assessment to create inclusive learning opportunities that integrate the use of AI. 
Incorporating AI in LEAP to enhance assessment and feedback

This workshop will use the BU LEAP model to build a storyboard to support your reflection on your module. This will enable you to strategically position AI content in your unit delivery. 

 

Role of AI in reimagining design of Assessment and Feedback: Engaging Feedback  15th June 

1000 to 1200

This workshop is a face to face, interactive session whereby you will have the opportunity to use tools to (re)design feedback strategies for your unit to further engage and cocreate students and the student voice. This will include how AI can help support these ideas such as Gradescope.  

 

Value of AI to increase accessibility for students with neurodiverse learning needs  

 

16th June  

1000 to 1200

This workshop is an interactive session considering group work, assessment design and marking large cohorts. Including: designing and implementing group work:  

  • Group assessment guidelines 
  • Group assessment marking  
  • Group assessment resources 

This workshop looks at how AI can help neurodiverse learners at BU and will look at the different tools and functions that can enhance the neurodiverse learning experience.

These would include:
Hey Gen etc – AI video tools
Elicit Literature search
Century – learning support and feedback
