The FLIE team will be taking a well-earned break over Christmas but there are still lots of resources available to support you if you are looking at your planning for Semester 2.
If you’re looking for ideas and inspiration, have a look at our Good Practice area. You’ll find good practice tips and examples on all areas of teaching and learning from FLIE and academic colleagues. You might also want to check out the showcase videos, created with the launch of the Digital Pedagogies Framework, which explore the use of technology in learning within the key themes of the Framework.
As well as using the Framework to focus on the design of your unit, you’ll need to think about some of the other key tasks to consider before teaching commences. You can find a useful outline in our Planning for Semester 2 blog post.
If you require general help and guidance on using Brightspace or any other digital tools, head to the Brightspace Staff Resources area. Here you’ll find step-by-step instructions on setting up and using tools, from the Accessibility checker to Zoom. If you’re in the middle of marking, checkout the Assessment and Feedback section. And don’t forget, for general Brightspace guidance, we also have a series of Brightspace online training modules.
We will be back in the New Year, when we look forward to continuing to support you in the development and delivery of your online pedagogies, via your dedicated Faculty Learning Technologist, online Drop-in sessions or at some of our workshops. (Mentimeter will be running two workshops for us in January 2021, so keep an eye out for the dates and times).
