Are you worried that students are not engaging with your Panopto presentations?
Lets face it, no matter how interesting the subject, sitting in front of a screen for long periods can be rather tedious.
So how about micro lectures? why not break that 50 minute or 2 hour presentation down into bite size chunks of 30 minutes, or even 10 -15 minute per recording.
You could also include a quick quiz, usually two or three questions, in the Panopto recording.
A quiz can be placed at any point in the timeline, not just at the end, and there can be more than one quiz per recording.
Quizzes are a great way of engaging students. They help students check their level of understanding after each section or topic, reinforcing their learning around key learning points and are also great as a revision tool.
Panopto quizzes are purely formative, and the results are not exported to Brightspace, so students can revisit the recording and the quiz as often as is required.
