Available for all BU staff, take a series of one or half day workshops (spread out over the semester) to extend your own CPD/ build your promotion profile/ move towards application for Senior Fellowship of the HEA
Attend as CPD only, or attend for an additional day, and upon successful completion of coursework be awarded 20 credits at Masters level
CEL is offering three short courses/ accredited units for any staff who may wish to develop their skills and understanding in three areas important to the success of BU2018:
Technology enhanced learning: creativity in design

Dates: Half days March 1st, 16th, 23rd, May 5th 2017; plus 4 half days online learning about the benefits and best practices of TEL
Employability/ work based learning for higher education: implementing best practice
Course leader: Carly Lamont, CEL theme leader/ FoM
Dates: March 8th, 14th, 15th, 22nd 2017
Innovations in assessment and feedback
Course leader: Anne Quinney, CEL theme leader/ HSS
Dates: March 29th, April 5th, May 3rd, May 10th 2017
The detail:
You are welcome to attend the course only or attend, do the coursework and submit the assessment for credits towards the MA Educational Practice which will be validated and available from September 2017. These units will form the PGDip level of the course; if you have already completed BU’s PGCert Education Practice, you will be able to APEL that level and any of these units onto the completion of the full Masters once it is up and running.
