Can’t attend the MOOC session in person? Join us online

For the session on MOOCs next Wednesday, we are planning to use the new Collaborate application to allow people to access the session live from their own computers, wherever you are (so long as you have an internet connection and Chrome!).  This is the first time we will try using Collaborate in this way.

If you would like to join in (literally because you you be able to watch the video, hear the audio and ask questions through the chat facility) and have a laptop or desktop computer, you can go to this address just before 12.30 on Wednesday 25th May: http://bit.ly/DavidsRoom

It is recommended that you use the Chrome browser.  By default Chrome updates itself regularly.  This is important as Collaborate does not work with older versions of browsers.

If you like to follow the meeting on a tablet or smartphone, you will need to first download the bbstudent app which is available at no cost for IoS and Android.  Once downloaded, you can then access the Collaborate room: http://bit.ly/DavidsRoom

We will record the session and make it available to view afterwards.

Of course, if you would like to attend in person, you can reserve a place here.

If you would like to trial the virtual classroom for yourself, Collaborate, please contact David Biggins or Stephen Pyne.
