Marcin’s research interests lie in a broadly understood area of machine learning and data science, with a particular focus on practical applications. Throughout his career, Marcin was involved in a number of research projects with industry, with a particular focus on tangible impact and societally useful innovation.
Some of his most recent projects include Integrated software solution for the three-dimensional capture and analysis of footwear evidence (NERC), Big Data Analytics in the Context of Public Transport and Passenger Experience (Innovate UK) and Computer Vision for forensic shoe-print matching (Innovate UK).
Marcin is the Head of Research in the Department of Computing and Informatics, Member of the Smart Technology Research Group, Associate Member of the Institute for Studies in Landscape and Human Evolution.
