Mark is Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Business Studies and BA (Hons) Business and Management degrees, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a thought leader in business and management education.

Having previously lived and worked in France, Germany, Italy and China, and for many years managed the Business School’s international recruitment activities, Mark delivers courses in cross-cultural communication and management, as well as developing professional and managerial competencies.

Mark’s academic interests focus on enhancing the student experience, innovation in assessment and developing students’ professional effectiveness, and he has led numerous education enhancement initiatives in these areas.

Mark has a wide range of media experience, including interviews on Channel 4’s Dispatches, about tackling plagiarism, and BBC South Today, on how to choose the right university.  Mark has also written and contributed to numerous articles in the Times Higher Education, Telegraph and Sunday Times.
