Richard has worked in education for over a decade and has run professional development workshops for teachers internationally, as well as conducting research for the BBC Trust, the Higher Education Academy and the UK Literacy Association.

He lectures on education, literacy, English and adaptation studies with his interests focused on the area of adaptation and literacy – particularly the ways in which children and young people use new media technologies to create their own works based on existing material. Richard’s media experience includes regional television, radio and press.
