AI-enabled curriculum design

What are some of the ways in which academics are utilising generative artificial intelligence (GenAI)? It is not and never will be a replacement for academic expertise, creativity and judgment. But are you aware of some of the kinds of things GenAI can help with in academia; whether that be with your research, to augment teaching resources, or just to save time.

We’ve pulled together some of the ways in which AI might help you in your role, themed by the Digital Pedagogies Framework. Please note, an example listed on here does not imply recommended practice in your context or that it is BU policy:

Jisc’s HE Assessment working group have recently published this guide – Embracing Generative AI in Assessments: A Guided Approach, to help staff navigate the complexities of GenAI integration in a way that is practical and responsible.

You might also be interested in their Generative AI in Practice hub which shares some real-life examples of innovative uses of Gen AI by academics in FE and HE.
