Congratulations to FLIE Learning Technologist Matt Jarvis whose work was shortlisted for the Annual H5P Awards 2025 under the ‘Impressive use of Multimedia’ category
FLIE worked with Library colleagues to produce guidance for BU students on the use of generative AI in their studies. The resulting interactive resource, designed in H5P, aims to provide clarity for students on the use of GenAI tools with their studies and to support students’ understanding of the GenAI levels within coursework briefs. The resource provides links to further guidance and resources, including advice on avoiding academic offences and some of the opportunities and challenges that GenAI tools present.

You can view ‘Using generative AI to support your studies’ on the Academic Skills Hub pages on Brightspace. Please share this useful resource with your students.
Incorporating H5P into your learning materials
H5P is a tool that you can use to create rich, interactive content to promote engagement on your Brightspace units. You can use H5P to create interactive learning objects such as Drag and Drop, Image Hotspots, interactive 360 images, interactive presentations or interactive videos, and many other formative learning activities. You can see examples of the different content types available on the H5P Examples unit on Brightspace. If you would like access to the example unit, or are interested in creating an H5P activity similar to the examples from the H5P Annual awards, contact your Faculty Learning Technologist who will be happy to support you.
