The Brightspace Pulse mobile app is designed to specifically provide access to unit Content, Notifications, Grades and Brightspace calendar events (assignment deadline etc…). Other items that are linked from the Brightspace Homepage navigation bars and unit navigation bars are not directly available from the app. This has been an area that staff and students have fed back on, specifically in relation to accessing unit Reading Lists and the Academic Skills hub.
As the Brightspace website uses responsive design which adapts the user experience when access from mobile devices, these areas can be accessed from any device. To help improve access to content on the platform we’ve added a new video to the Brightspace Help pages which shows how Readings Lists and other areas can be accessed from the Brightspace Pulse app. This is covered from the Help page linked below in the guidance video titled ‘Accessing Brightspace web pages via the Pulse app‘.
