Artificial Intelligence (AI) may be poised to effect a cultural shift on a par with the Industrial Revolution. However, the explosion of AI tools has come so suddenly and with so much hyperbole that we could all be forgiven for feeling confused and overwhelmed.
In FLIE we have been working hard to keep up with AI developments and clarify the range of issues it raises for us, both individually and as an organisation.
We’re continuing our GenAI drop-ins this semester where we will try to demystify the nature of AI and demonstrate the use of a range of AI tools to perform tasks that can both save time and enhance your teaching practice. Are you confused about how GenAI tools can help you with your academic work? Do you know which tools are better aligned to certain tasks? Do you just want to know what all the fuss is about?
