Have you noticed the new link on the Brightspace homepage encouraging students to stay up to date with the Pulse app? Brightspace provides alerts for unit activity (such as announcements, assignment deadlines etc) via the bell icon 
at the top right of the screen. But if students would like to receive direct notifications of Brightspace activity, they can do this via the Pulse app.
What is the Pulse app?
Pulse is Brightspace’s mobile app, available for both iOS and Android devices. It can help students keep track of important updates all in one place. Students can opt in to receive push notifications for:
- Announcements
- Assignments and quizzes
- Content
- Grades
- Discussions

We’d recommend you encourage students to download the app to support them with their studies. They can follow the link from the Brightspace home page (pictured), or go to the student Help pages on Brightspace to find all the details including a short video guide on how to set up notifications.
