Learning on Screen, the British Universities and Colleges Film and Video Council are adding to their digital television archive.
From this January 2022 the resources on Box of Broadcasts (BOB), the on demand TV and Radio service for education, are being updated with television transmissions from the BBC going back to the post-war period. These programmes are all available to watch for the purposes of teaching and research. Access to the materials is granted exclusively for all educational institutions holding an Educational Recording Agency (ERA) licence; virtually every university, college and school in the UK. 
This work is ongoing and the upcoming months will see a focus on television plays of the 1960s, and reportage from the Thatcher years.
