As part of our support for students when participating in Zoom calls we have updated our student help guidance to ensure that live online sessions are safe and secure for everyone.

The Acceptable Use Policy defines the way students, staff and authorised users are expected to use information and information technology which is provided by or through BU. Unacceptable use of technology includes criteria such as:

  • inconvenience or needless anxiety
  • violating the privacy of other users or
  • unjustifiably disrupting the work of other users.

Many of us are still getting used to learning in an online environment but this can be referenced as a  reminder to students of their responsibilities when attending live classroom sessions.
