Numbers play a big part in all of our lives. National Numeracy Day is about helping everyone in the UK to take action to improve their skills and build their confidence to use numbers effectively.
Using the campaign strapline “We are all numbers people ”the aim is to engage as many people in the UK as possible to improve their numeracy skills.
Anyone interested in improving their skill with numbers is encouraged to sign up for the National Numeracy Challenge. You can test your knowledge of using numbers, identify areas for improvement and access a range of online resources to help you develop your skills.
We have a range of resources available to support students at Bournemouth University. Resources for numeracy can be accessed via the Study Skills Area on Brightspace. There are also links to the Maths & Stats Clinic, workshops and support offered by Additional Learning Support and the HSS Educational Development Tutor.
