Staff Training Workshops- Sustainable Communications and Education for Sustainable Development

Sustainability is a term which is embedded in many areas of BU life, but sometimes it can be difficult to see how different areas of work and home life can have a connection with the term. Two areas of focus by BU in the move to achieve BU2025 are sustainable communications and education for sustainable development (ESD). These are key areas which require a great amount of input from a number of persons in order to make them effective and to spread a message, but in order to fully understand what these mean it can be helpful to talk to people in a variety of job roles to hear their opinions.

On Thursday 11th January there will be two staff training sessions run by the NUS which will be covering both Sustainable Communications (10.30-13.30, CG09) and Education for Sustainable Development (14.00-17.00, TAG02). They are staff training workshops and will be attended by other BU colleagues in many areas of work, so should lead to some great questions and discussions. NUS lead the way in terms of sustainability, and are the encouragement behind many of the campaigns which have made the biggest impacts in UK HE institutions.

If you would like to book your place into one of these sessions or ask any questions about these, please email hwiseman@bournemouth.ac.uk.
