The University of Sheffield is delighted to be hosting the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR) on 12th and 13th April, 2018. In its 8th year, the conference attracts a footfall of around 500 (majority) students and staff from a wide range of universities, across two days. It is considered a leading channel through which undergraduates can present their high quality research and gain experience of academic activities, such as dissemination, networking and publication. Research in this context is that which makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline and undergraduates are invited to submit papers, posters, workshops or performances.
The deadline for abstract submission is 21st December 2017. If possible, please publicise this opportunity to your students. There are slides attached with further information and I will happily post promotional postcards on request – please email me.
Thank you for your help in promoting this fantastic opportunity for undergraduates and if you have any queries, please get in touch.
With best wishes,
