The Higher Education Academy has just published their ‘Transforming Assessment’ case study series for 2017, and the Online Assignment Handling project at BU features as one of the case studies. Under the ‘Using technology-enhanced assessment’ strand, the case study details our approach to overcoming barriers to online assessment and feedback during the roll-out out and wide-scale adoption of Turnitin across the University since 2010. The case study was written by Dr David Fevyer and Kathryn Cheshir, and was presented in an earlier form at the related HEA Symposium on Technology Enabled Assessment at York back in May. The case studies are available online here.
Moving forward, the HEA will incorporate these case studies into a new central resource for the HEA Assessment and Feedback Community of Practice which is being launched this month.
