Brightspace drop-in schedule for August

In the last week, we have run the first three drop-in sessions for staff.  The idea is that staff can come along and work on their Brightspace unit and gain help, if needed, from the on-hand staff from IT Skills, LLS and CEL.  We had 7 people at yesterday’s session and one person commented that it was a great opportunity to sit down and concentrate on developing their Brightspace unit.

We have scheduled 5 more sessions in August.  All the sessions run from 13:00 to 17:00.  You are welcome to drop in for as long or as short a time as you wish.  If you cannot attend in person, you can also join the session using a computer from wherever you have an internet connection.   Please contact me before the session if you would like to make use of this virtual classroom facility so that I can send you a link to the session.

The sessions are on:

  • Thursday 10 August.  S103
  • Monday 14 August.  S103
  • Thursday 17 August.  F201
  • Monday 21 August.  S102
  • Tuesday 22 August,  F201

In addition to the drop-in sessions, we also have some of the face-to-face training sessions in the diary.  If you would like to attend one of these, please email your request to v4L@bournemouth.ac.uk.

  • Thursday 3 August, Sessions A in the morning and B in the afternoon.  S102
  • Wednesday 6 September.  Sessions A in the morning and B in the afternoon.  S103

Hello, will the face-to-face sessions in August and September be suitable for support staff who won’t be creating their own Brightspace page, but rather will need to know how to navigate through one in order to help students find information?
    Thanks

    Sue,

Of the two sessions, A will be more applicable and will certainly give you this knowledge and understanding.

    Kind regards
    David
