Mentoring is fundamental for developing the skills and confidence of our PGCert in Education Practice participants.
The PGCert is doubling its numbers next year so we’re looking for new mentors!
- recognised as a good teacher;
- interested in new teaching and learning developments;
- willing to help others achieve their goals;
- open to the value of a wide variety of teaching approaches;
If so, we’d love you to be a PGCert mentor!
Come to our PGCert mentors event on Thursday 27th July 2017 13.00-15.30 on the Talbot Campus (with lunch!)
The event is for everyone interested in being a PGCert mentor – current mentors and potential/ new mentors. We’ll eat, share what’s worked well, work through the expectations and signpost helpful resources that CEL and OD are working on together. Mentors act as a critical friend / guide for the PGCert student. They need to be able to facilitate access to a range of development opportunities and conduct a formal teaching observation.
Please email OD@bournemouth.ac.uk with any dietary requirements by 20th July.
Do contact Curie Scott: firstname.lastname@example.org if you want more information
We hope you can join us on the 27st July!
