Mentoring is fundamental for developing the skills and confidence of our PGCert in Education Practice participants.

The PGCert is doubling its numbers next year so we’re looking for new mentors!

Are you

  • recognised as a good teacher;
  • interested in new teaching and learning developments;
  • willing to help others achieve their goals;
  • open to the value of a wide variety of teaching approaches;

If so, we’d love you to be a PGCert mentor!

Come to our PGCert mentors event on Thursday 27th July 2017 13.00-15.30 on the Talbot Campus (with lunch!)

The event is for everyone interested in being a PGCert mentor – current mentors and potential/ new mentors. We’ll eat, share what’s worked well, work through the expectations and signpost helpful resources that CEL and OD are working on together. Mentors act as a critical friend / guide for the PGCert student. They need to be able to facilitate access to a range of development opportunities and conduct a formal teaching observation.

Please email OD@bournemouth.ac.uk with any dietary requirements by 20th July.

Do contact Curie Scott: cscott@bournemouth.ac.uk if you want more information

We hope you can join us on the 27st July!
