A wonderful day was had by all at the BU Festival of Learning family day, Saturday 8th July. Our showcase included augmented reality, virtual reality, using the OCULUS RIFT, co-creating content for Google cardboard using 360 degree cameras and lots more. Families dropped in for the whole day, and explored the technologies of the future…. and were amazed to find out that many of these were being introduced already across a range of disciplines.

The team set up – l-r David Biggins (academic learning designer), Stephen Pyne (learning technologist FOM) Dave Hunt learning technologist FMC) and Carly Lamont (Event organiser & CEL theme leader for workbased learning)

With thanks to Dr Sue Eccles for her assistance on the day, and we would like to thank the FoL organisers for purchasing our ‘Google cardboard’ glasses.
