TEL Toolkit – a first look

We had a early Christmas present this year with a first look at the initial designs for the TEL Toolkit.

The Toolkit is due to be released in the first week of February so this sneak preview was great to see.

The home screen will enable you to access information on the tools in the Toolkit either by pedagogic area or by name.

The home page also explains the many (we have listed 7) benefits staff will gain from interacting with the Toolkit and developing their skills and confidence. It is intended that there will be links to other information that will help with career development and progression.

There is an area called Get Inspired where we will list new and innovative ways in which you can teach and new tools or new ways of using existing tools.  We are hoping to gain your feedback on the tools and to leverage this information to help all staff gain from the tools we have available.

The su-bpages of the Toolkit are also being developed.  For example, if you access the Toolkit by the pedagogic route, you will be presented with a list of 6 areas.  One of these areas is the Flipped Classroom.  Clicking on this link will take you to a page where the pedagogy is described and from where the tools linked to the pedagogy are listed and from where you can also watch videos related to the particular area, find out more information and more.

If you have any feedback on the Toolkit, please let us know.

We will keep you updated as the Toolkit develops in the coming weeks.
