Dukki Hong

Dukki Hong is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management and a part-time lecturer in the Department of Humanities & Law.

Dr. Hong completed his PhD in August 2021 under the supervision of Professor Dinusha Mendis and Dr. Tania Humphries-Smith.

Dr. Hong’s PhD research involved a consideration of the intellectual property (IP) implications of 3D printing.

He has a Masters in Law from University College London (2015).

Currently, he teaches and researches on copyright in relation to the entertainment industry and emerging technologies. His research interests include IP implications of video games cloning and user-generated content, and contemporary IP and privacy issues surrounding the use and dissemination of deepfakes.
