Are you are interested in technology, be it augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, holography or digital storytelling? Are you always thinking ahead, trying to understand what the next best piece of kit will be, or how to integrate tech into your teaching practice or your professional service?
Are you using Mentimeter, Padlet, Instagram, Snapchat or some other app to engage your students in the classroom? Are you building an app to engage the local community in health, history or science? Do you just want to learn how others are using Brightspace in an innovative manner?
For the first time, CEL is bringing together a Technology Enhanced Learning Community of Practice. A community of practice is a group of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do, and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly. This group is open to all, academics, professional staff and students alike!
We will hold monthly gatherings in an ‘unconference’ style–a loosely structured conference emphasizing the informal exchange of information and ideas between participants, rather than following a conventionally structured programme of events.
Our first gathering will be MONDAY 3rd December 2-3pm (room TBC)
If you’re interested in joining our TEL Community of Practice, please e-mail me at aluce@bournemouth.ac.uk
I’ll send out further details in due course.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Dr. Ann Luce, TEL Theme Leader, CEL
