Colleagues,
The University’s Access, Excellence and Impact Committee (AEIC) was formed in 17/18, and its purpose is:
‘To lead activities in relation to education access, excellence and impact; targeting the highest levels of achievement and benefits to applicants, students and the University.’
We are now seeking proposals for projects which support the University in addressing the performance gaps identified, full information and the project call are available on the University idrive at I:Academic Services\Public\AEIC Projects
We are particularly interested in larger scale projects that support our performance gaps in the ‘Success’ and ‘Progression’ strands. Projects should be institutional level, or have scope to become institutional level within a defined period. Projects may be for up to 2 years duration (end by 31st July 2020).
To be eligible for funding from this source, project proposals must meet the following criteria:
- Explicit alignment with the priorities of the 18/19 Access Agreement and/or 19/20 Access and Participation Plan;
- A clear contribution to the achievement of the targets and milestones in the 18/19 Access Agreement and/or the 19/20 Access and Participation Plan;
- A defined systematic approach to evaluation and impact built into the design of the project (you must seek advice from Dr Andrew Main, BU Learning Impact Lead based in CEL);
- An approach to sustaining the outcomes of the project beyond the funding period.
To support this work, CEL will be running two workshops to support the writing of the proposals, please do come with ideas and drafts!
