Applying for HEA Fellowship

A number of sessions will be run throughout the year to help support you in the application process. Sessions are facilitated/hosted by Faculty Mentors who have themselves achieved a level of Fellowship via TeachBU.

If you’re not sure where to start, or have questions around applying then attending an ‘Introductory’ session may be of benefit to you. If you know the level and the requirements for which you’d like to apply for then you may appreciate some time away from the office to work on your application at a Writing Retreat where a mentor will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Details of sessions currently arranged are listed below but more will be arranged throughout the year.

Introductory Session Monday 23rd October 2017, 10.00 – 11.00, Lansdowne Campus Facilitated by Sue Way (Faculty of Health & Social Science)
Introductory Session Wednesday 1st November 2017, 14.00 – 15.00, Talbot Campus Facilitated by Peri Bradley, Kate Murphy & Richard Scullion (Faculty of Media & Communication)
Introductory Session Thursday 16th November 2017, 10.00 – 11.00, Lansdowne Campus Facilitated by Philip Ryland & Louise Preget (Faculty of Management)
Writing Retreat Wednesday 6th December 2017, 13.30 – 16.30, Talbot Campus Hosted by Rick Stafford (Faculty of Science & Technology)

If you would like to attend any of these sessions please contact Organisational Development to book your place.

Application deadlines throughout the academic year will usually be the final working day of each month with an Assessment Panel taking place a few weeks later. Details of these can be found in the yellow box here. If you require any support/advice with your application please do remember to seek out the Faculty Mentors who will be happy to meet with you at a mutually convenient time.

For more information on TeachBU, deadlines/assessment panel dates and documentation please visit the Staff Development & Engagement Staff Intranet pages.
