Staff from across BU have the opportunity to bid for pedagogic development or research projects
For the last two years, the Centre for Excellence in Learning has offered the opportunity for BU staff in both academic and professional and support roles, to bid for projects that will lead to enhancements in learning and teaching.
The latest round of funding opens on Wednesday 14 October and staff are encouraged to submit their proposals.
Overall, there is funding for a total of six projects with funding of up to £3,000 available for each. Three will specifically need to relate to the following CEL themes with briefs developed by the theme leaders:
- Technology enhanced learning – David Biggins
- Employability and Work Based Learning – Carly Lamont
- Assessment innovation; feedback and forward – Anne Quinney
The remaining three projects can be broader and focus on:
- Pedagogic innovation
- Evaluation
- Research
- Development
The aim of the funding is to lead to tangible outputs such as papers, products and presentations. If you’re interested in applying for funding, please complete the application form and send to Chris Keenan by Monday 9 November.
The Fusion Investment Fund panel will meet on Friday 13 November with the successful bids being announced the week commencing Monday 16 November. The project spending must be completed by 31 May 2016.
