13.00-14.00 21 Feb 2025
Part of the Academic Integrity online webinar series Feb/Mar 2025
This presentation examines the ethical challenges introduced by artificial intelligence, particularly generative AI (GenAI), in biomedical education. While GenAI serves as a powerful tool for enhancing learning and research, it also poses risks by enabling academic misconduct. Dr Shiva will elaborate the journey of academics after the introduction of GenAI highlighting common misuse scenarios and their impact on academic integrity. It will be followed by illustrating the importance of clear guidance regarding assessment expectations. Some practical examples will be used to illustrate how traditional assessments can be transformed into GenAI-resilient formats, ensuring fairness and integrity.
