As teaching starts in earnest for all faculties, a brief reminder of some of the useful new features of the updated Jisc attendance capture platform:
Check-in codes are available two weeks in advance
No need to wait until the last minute to get the check-in code for students for your teaching session – you can make a note of it up to 2 weeks in advance and pop it into your slide deck. 🥳
Manually update registers at anytime
If students have issues checking in they should be directed to IT. But sometimes you might want to amend the attendance register for an event – now you can easily navigate to previous sessions using the Events calendar and update attendance for individuals. ✅
Students can check-in to any session
And if they aren’t timetabled to attend, they will be flagged on the register as ‘unexpected’. Useful to accommodate any late adjustments in timetabling or to enable students to easily catch up on missed sessions. ⏱
Share the check-in code from within the Jisc platform
Simply click on the register, then click on ‘Display code’ to display the check-in code for the session in large numbers on the screen. 🔢
