The updated JISC Learning Analytics platform went live on 9th September, redesigned with a more modern user interface and improved functionality and usability for attendance capture and monitoring.
This academic year, staff must use Jisc to log student attendance at timetabled teaching sessionsĀ (not including optional drop-in sessions) and core supervision sessions on project and dissertation units. This is essential to generate the data that is used in the Engagement Framework, both to support individual students and understand patterns of attendance at BU.
As most teaching starts in earnest for the majority of faculties next Monday (30th), here’s a quick recap of the attendance capture steps, and the slide that you can download and use within your presentations to support students with checking in:
