Congratulations to Dr Jonny Branney on being awarded the National Teaching Fellowship!

Dr Jonny Branney has been awarded the prestigious National Teaching Fellowship for 2024, a recognition that celebrates individuals who have made a significant impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession. This accolade, recognized nationally and internationally, places Jonny among a select group of educators who contribute to promoting excellence in teaching and learning. Jonny’s journey began over 25 years ago when he started his career in nursing. His experience in intensive care and emergency departments sparked a deep passion for knowledge, leading him to retrain as a chiropractor. This unique blend of expertise in nursing and chiropractic has driven Jonny’s dedication to teaching and research, earning him multiple awards and recognitions. Currently, Jonny focuses on enhancing patient self-management strategies for chronic low back pain. As Principal Academic in Nursing and Clinical Sciences and Programme Leader for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice at Bournemouth University, he integrates his dual professional backgrounds to improve healthcare education and patient outcomes. The National Teaching Fellowship highlights Jonny’s innovative approach and his commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in education.
