I am delighted to announce that BU is one of the first Universities accredited by Advance HE, to successfully transition from the previous 2011 version of the professional standards framework (PSF), to the new 2023 version. Thank you to everyone at BU involved in helping to make this happen.
Whilst the descriptors and dimensions of the new professional standards framework may be familiar to many, there are also some important differences that need to be taken into account when applicants are writing their case studies (check guidance for details).
Any colleagues thinking of applying through TeachBU for Advance HE’s HEA fellowship in the Associate Fellow, Fellow or Senior Fellow categories, should use the new professional standards framework, and can access the relevant forms and guidance using our new Brightspace Portal. TeachBU will be populating the portal with more help, case studies, etc. over the next few months.
If you have already been developing your application using the 2011 framework, then we can still accept applications from you using the previous professional standards framework, until the 31st May 2024 submission deadline. After this date, we will only be able to accept applications that are based upon the new 2023 professional standards framework.
