This is just a quick reminder to those staff who have experience of being a TeachBU Mentor / TeachBU Assessor, and wish to continue in these roles, that the closing date for submitting your Expression of Interest is 12:00 (Noon) on Friday 11th September 2020.
These roles will continue to be undertaken on a voluntary basis, but there will be associated workload planning hours attached. Our aim is to have a slightly smaller group of Mentors and Assessors, and to be able to offer them training and updates to ensure we deliver a more consistent approach when supporting our colleagues.
TeachBU Mentors will support their Faculty colleagues to develop their applications for HEA Fellowship in the Associate, Fellow or Senior Fellow categories.
TeachBU Assessors will review the HEA applications submitted by colleagues from other Faculties and the Professional Services, and will report to the TeachBU HEA Assessment Panel meeting.
To be eligible to be either a TeachBU Mentor, or a TeachBU Assessor, staff must be currently employed at BU, and have themselves successfully navigated through the process at BU to gain Senior HEA Fellowship or above (some Fellows with significant prior experience of being a TeachBU Mentor / TeachBU Assessor will also be accepted). Eligible staff may be from Faculties or from the Professional Services.
If you meet the eligibility criteria stated above, and you wish to be considered as either a TeachBU Mentor and/or a TeachBU Assessor for 2020/21, please click here and complete the online expression of interest form.
