‘Understanding how students with a disability learn’
A series of short workshops is being offered by colleagues from Additional Learning Support (ALS). ‘Understanding how students with a disability learn’ is a practical session which will explore some of the challenges encountered by disabled BU students with a view to supporting staff in developing their inclusive practice.
They are also offering separate workshops that aim to promote an inclusive approach to students with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Asperger’s/Autism. Each workshop will provide an opportunity to deepen your understanding of these disabilities, provide strategies to support students and develop more inclusive approaches in the teaching and learning opportunities you provide.
