The Centre for Excellence in Learning (CEL) at BU is an important initiative contributing to innovation in learning and a high quality student experience, helping to meet the University’s strategic plan and making a significant contribution to the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).  As Deputy Head, you will offer leadership and inspiration, encouraging and enabling all staff to become excellent educators.  You will also provide leadership and influence academic and professional staff to ensure that a robust framework is in place to enhance the delivery of learning and student experience.

You will have extensive experience of educational innovation, leadership and development in Higher Education and specialist expertise in areas such as; HE teaching methods and assessment, curriculum design and development, cultural change or use of learning technologies in the HE context.

You will be qualified to Doctorate level or equivalent in a relevant field and appointment at Professorial level may be considered.  You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
