Dr Claudy Op den Kamp, Principal Academic in Film in the Department of Media Production was appointed Deputy Director CIPPM in September 2024.

Dr Op den Kamp joined Bournemouth University/ CIPPM in 2016, having focused on bridging Media Production and Law. She teaches copyright exceptions to both Film and Television Production students, uniquely empowering emerging filmmakers early in their education. Her interdisciplinary work includes two published books (Amsterdam University Press, 2018; Cambridge University Press, 2019) and three audiovisual essays (2022-2024), showcasing her innovative approach to exploring IP issues through media production.

Dr Op den Kamp is an experienced leader and brings a wealth of experience in interdisciplinary research to CIPPM. We are delighted to welcome her as CIPPM’s Deputy Director.
