Dr Debbie Holley has recently returned from presented at @eLEOT2015, an conference on e-learning, e- education and online training. Part of the European Alliance on Innovation, (www.eai.eu) a body created by leaders from industry, research and policy making to engage the global community by exploring ways in which innovation in technology and business and benefit society at large.
She produced two peer review papers, both based on Augmented Reality, leading on ‘Engaging our School Teachers: an Augmented approach to CPD’ based on her current research in schools with Dr Philip Howlett, a National Science Lead and co- authoring ‘Using Augmented Reality to engage STEM students with an authentic curriculum’ which transformed the learning of Computer Science and Gaming students undertaking the development of a Personal Development Plan (PDP) with Dr Mike Hobbs, a lecturer and researcher on technology and the semantic web. She and her colleagues also offered a Technical demonstration session showing conference delegates how to use and create augmented reality artefacts with their own devices.
