Polka dot wellies, multi-coloured ponchos and face paint means only one thing…. festival season!

I don’t know about you guys but the rise in temperature has sure got me excited for this year’s festival season and it is going to be a big one! The summer of 2017 has given rise to some of the most legendary line ups to date! Whether you are into pop, DnB, indie – rock there is sure to be something for you!

V Fest (19th – 20th August)

If you love keeping up to date with the latest music trends and official UK Top 40 then this festival is for you. Featuring the likes of Stormzy, Jess Glynne, Ellie Goulding and Clean Bandit you are definitely getting your money’s worth! I attended V Fest last summer at Hylands Park (Chelmsford) and was surprised at the variety of acts they had on over the weekend. V fest is often branded the most poppy of UK music festivals, yet it had one of the greatest dance DnB line ups of the summer! This one is not to be overlooked.

SW4 (26th– 27th August)

If you don’t fancy braving a tent in the British weather then SW4 could be for you. Based in Clapham common, London, the festival has acts spread over a weekend but does not offer a camping option. This is perfect if you want to sleep in the comfort of your own bed and have a warm shower at the end of the night! I would go as far as saying that SW4 has one of the greatest house and drum and bass music line ups of the last few years with the likes of Sigma, DJ Hazard and Tom Zanetti. But hurry tickets are on final release!

Bestival (7th – 10th September)

Dorset welcomes Bestival this summer! This is the first year that the festival has changed location from the Isle of Wight over to the south coast! Which of course is perfect for BU students being just 20 miles away! This is the perfect way to end your summer celebrating with friends! Bestival covers a wide range of music genres, you could go from listening to pioneers in reggae an deep DnB such as David Rodigan to remembering T-Shirt weather with Circa Waves!

These are just a few of the festivals I am looking forward too! So, grab your friends and some glitter and get ready for a fun filled summer of dance!
