Social life is an important thing to consider when choosing a University that’s right for you. Bournemouth is practically a students dream with Clubs, bars and an O2 academy all in close proximity.

If you are celebrating or just fancy a night out there’s something for every night of the week!

Monday is the indie/alternative night at the SU. If you fancy something a bit different and love pizza then District is definitely for you. And yes the pizza is FREE!

However, if you prefer a classic main room set of dance anthems and student classics HALO would be your best option. One of the most aesthetic clubs in towns and formerly a church. The drinks on student nights are considerably cheaper than a Friday and Saturday so I would advise visiting on a Monday! They also put on a guest PA each week with recent ones being Alex Bowen, Jack Devlin and a personal favourite of mine The Chuckle Brothers.

Wednesday is varsity day and that can only mean one thing…. Cameo! ‘Guilty’ is one of the country’s biggest student nights. With a capacity of 2,500 and different themed rooms this is by far the most popular one. You can party til 4 am in Vinyl otherwise known as the cheese room, get the best of DnB and dance in the main room, Deep house in MyuBar and Urban in the Basement. If all this wasn’t enough they have opened a brand-new gaming room called Retreat!

Friday is when most students head to the SU for lollipop, which conveniently is located opposite one of the halls and a 5 minute walk from others! This is a great night and can sell out fast so make sure to buy a ticket online or from the student shop located on Talbot Campus!

If you prefer bars to clubs then Bournemouth has loads of them too! With popular names such as Turtle bay, Aruba, Revs and Sixty Million Postcards! These are most popular at weekends but most have two for one offers on during the week!

So that’s what to expect from a Bournemouth night out!
