A UCAS exhibition is a great opportunity to research your post-18 options and discover a range of education and employment opportunities under one roof. We attend a number of Higher Education and UCAS exhibitions around the UK, providing you with plenty of opportunities to meet us, pick up a prospectus and have a chat about your course and life at BU.
You can view the UCAS exhibition dates on the UCAS website.
We’ll also be hosting the Dorset UCAS Exhibition on Thursday 27 April 2017 where you’ll get the opportunity to visit numerous university stands, attend seminars and go on a tour of our campus and facilities.
We realise the information can be overwhelming so we’ve put together some advice about making the most of your visit to the Dorset UCAS Exhibition (most you can adopt for other exhibitions too!).
Top tips
- Take a sturdy rucksack (make the most of the prospectuses and freebies), note pad and pen
- Examine the subject index and pick your top ten stands to visit
- Make a plan of the talks you would like to attend, don’t forget to sign up and fit in a campus tour
- Prepare questions to ask an academic about the exams and assessments on a course
- Attend a student finance talk
- Prepare questions about accommodation and student life in general for the student ambassadors
- Grab a hot drink from the terrace café in the new Fusion building
- See the view from the top of SUBU tower – don’t forget to grab a selfie and use #belongatbu
- Find out what a Students’ Union is and how you could get involved
- Visit the Student Village
- Enquire about Open Days at different universities and sign up
- Make time to reflect on all of the information you’ve gathered and re-visit the multitude of prospectuses you’ll pick up.
