Bournemouth University has a wide range of accommodation options, which makes it easier to find one that perfectly suits you. Here is information and tips on some of the different types of accommodation you can choose from when joining BU.

Lansdowne Campus:

Dorchester house homes 530 first year students and 60 postgraduate students. For 2022/23 September starters a standard room was £162.96 a week. Dorchester house is in walking distance of Bournemouth train station, Lansdowne campus and Asda supermarket. The accommodation has a two study rooms, a gym and a common area and the rooms are all en-suite with ¾ size beds.

Purbeck house homes over 500 undergraduate students and is considered a friendly and lively accommodation. For 2022/23 September starters a standard room is £150.24 was week. The accommodation is in walking distance of Bournemouth town centre and Bournemouth beach and is also on the university bus route to Talbot campus. The rooms all offer en-suites with single beds, a study desk and storage.

Bailey point is one of Bournemouth university’s newest accommodation and houses 550 students. For 2022/23 September starters a standard room was £174.95 per week. The flats offer a ¾ double bed with an en-suite bathroom and a shared kitchen area. The accommodation has two common rooms, a study space, an onsite gym and a roof terrace. Bailey point accommodation is only a short walk away from Asda supermarket, the town centre and the beach.

 

 

Private Accommodation:

Lulworth student accommodation is a private accommodation offered to Bournemouth University students as well as AUB and AECC students. For 2023/24 September starters a standard room was £155 per week. This accommodation has a basketball and football court and a free onsite gym. This accommodation is located in the centre of Bournemouth with walking distance to the main nightlife in Bournemouth and the Bournemouth town centre. The rooms are all en-suite with a large double bed and shared kitchen.

Another private accommodation is Skyline which is situated near many of the non-private Bournemouth university accommodations. Each flat comes with an en-suite bathroom, double bed and a shared kitchen and lounge area. Within this accommodation there are 10 tiers for the rooms ranging from bronze to penthouse and causes differentiation in the size of the rooms. This accommodation starts from £175 per week and offers study spaces, a sky lounge and a cinema room.

 

Talbot Campus: 

The student village is located on Talbot campus and is only minutes away from the SUBU building and many of the lecture theatres. The standard room for an undergraduate offers a single bed with a shared bathroom and kitchen/ lounge area. for 2022/24 September starters a standard room was £144.64 per week and this accommodation also offers a value room for £129.70 per week. This accommodation is also only a bus ride away from the Bournemouth town centre.
