StateofPlayGamesAlumni1-300x219We are very proud to share that a group of three of our BA Interactive Media Production graduates have been awarded the BAFTA for Artistic Achievement at the British Academy Game Awards for their game Lumino City, beating the likes of Assassin’s Creed Unity and Far Cry 4.

2003 Graduates Katherine Bidwell and Luke Whittaker, along with 2011 graduate Daniel Fountain are all part of State of Play Games, who developed Lumino City and which was founded by Katherine and Luke in 2008.

Katherine said of their win: “It’s been a huge achievement  for us as we are a team of just four making the game over a period of three years. Lumino City is a truly unique way to make a game. Everything you see on screen was made using paper, cardboard and glue, resulting in building a 10 foot high model city, using laser cutting plus miniature lights and motors to bring it to life!”.
