Three teams of second year advertising students will travel to London next week to pitch their communication strategy proposals to Clarks‘ marketing team and its agencies.

Students taking Account Planning last semester prepared a proposal in response to a live brief from the shoe company. The winning teams, chosen for combined top oral pitches and submitted strategy documents, were comprised of:

Team D5: Ksenia Kharkina, Fiona Meynell, Ricarda Romer

Team C2: Alex Atkinson, Shannon Ford, Charles Lindsay, Hanvir Rai Team

Team B1: Alvina Cernova, Rebecca James, Pamela Odumusi, Rebecca Whitmore

Advertising Senior Lecturer Cliff Van Wyk said the students who will present offered a ‘fine all-around perfomance’ and ‘earned the opportunity’ to present to the clients. He and co-lectruer David Alder, also programme leader, will travel with the students on 5 Feb for the pitch at the London Headquarters of Havas Media, a global communications and marketing company.

Immediately after the presentations, the Clarks Marketing Director, and agency executives, will assess the proposals and announce the overall winning team.
