With all exams finally over, we are starting to think about how we can spend our rainy summer this year!
We all know that Bournemouth and Poole have great beaches, and there is always so much happening in the area it’s no wonder that so many graduates stay here once they’ve finished their course.
Throughout the summer, the beaches play host to amazing firework displays and the famous Bournemouth Air Show.
We also have big screens up in the Bournemouth Gardens to show the Wimbledon tennis tournament, as well as films in the evenings. There’s nothing nicer than sitting in the sunshine relaxing with friends and a picnic.
Poole town centre is only 20 minutes away and Poole Quay has many restaurants and bars where you can see their fireworks on Thursday evenings too. Who doesn’t want to feel like they are on holiday every day?!
With such a multi-cultural feel to Bournemouth, there are so many restaurants, bars and clubs for every preference! Whether it’s Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Caribbean or good old-fashioned English Pubs, there will be plenty to keep you occupied.
If you fancy dashing off for the day, London is only a couple of hours away on a direct train or coach, so the city is so accessible, and affordable with your student cards. There are also great deals on all the tourist attractions and shows so you really can make the most of everything available.
I think I’ll be spending my summer sitting on the beach with our BBQ…perfect! How about you?
