Innovative Transfer Board study, funded by Innovate UK.
Start date: February 2019 for 18 months.
ORI are working with Buckingham Healthcare on a study developing an innovative transfer board capable of gliding users from any surface to another, including uneven or uphill transfers. ORI are advising on the design and development of a prototype, and testing the prototype in their labs (eg pressure mapping and shape analysis). Evaluations sessions are being held with clinicians to inform the development of the prototype, along with feedback from users and carers.
