Comments on time as Prof Middleton (ORI) Fellow:

It has been a great pleasure to work alongside Prof. Middleton. Time has really flown since 2006!! I learned a lot and I was able to put a great deal of surgical experience in hip surgery under my belt. I have to say that I also took some valuable lessons as regards social encounters and working as a Team: for example, it was the first time I saw a Consultant organise nights-out and Christmas events for their team, a habit I later took on as a Consultant myself.

I was also impressed by Prof. Middleton’s self-discipline in his personal life (not many people wake up at 5:30 am to start their day with jogging out in the cold british weather!!) and professional environment (very efficient and hard-worker in the operating theatre).
